3 AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools I have been using
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are used at Stanford in every other phrase. There are a ton of new companies leveraging those tools for very complex tasks, but also for simple and cool ones. Here are 3 tools I have been using this year that have made my life easier and helped me appear more polished.
But before that lets define both technologies. According to Google:
Artificial Intelligence is the theory and development of computer systems able to perform tasks that normally require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages.
Machine Learning is a field of computer science that often uses statistical techniques to give computers the ability to "learn" with data, without being explicitly programmed.
If you want to learn more I recommend reading this Forbes article "What Is The Difference Between Artificial Intelligence And Machine Learning?".
So lets talk about those 3 tools:
Build beautiful presentations using this tool. It is free, easy to use, fast and results are very good. You really build very beautiful, image heavy and impactful presentations. You can also download to pdf or pptx, use icons from their great library and free images. And it has a shareable feature to build the presentation as a team. The downside, not as flexible as power point: Can't pick fonts or font sizes, use of color is limited and you must use their slide templates. Also, you need to open it in Google Chrome for it to work.
Apart from the usability pros and cons my favorite thing about Beautiful.ai is that it helps me clarify my message and communication. It forces me to simplify and extract the key point of every slide to build towards the presentation's main message.
Build logos in just minutes! No need to be a designer. It is free up to a certain point. Once you want to download the logo you will need to pay for a package that goes from USD$20 to USD$85. The logos are not the best quality or the most innovative in terms of design. But it serves the purpose if you want something fast that looks good enough. Also it allows you to edit for colors and icons, so flexibility is a plus.
My favorite thing about Logojoy... I can use it all the time. So I create logos for simple things, like the one I have been using in my series "Rockstar classmates".
I don't know if this has any ai or machine learning, but it is VERY useful, therefore worth including. If you have had trouble scheduling a meeting with someone outside your office (because you can't see their calendar availability) then Calendly is right for you. You set the rules, sends options to the other person, he or she picks and then automatically it gets added to your calendar. That easy! I have been using it and is saves me a lot of time in meeting planning. Another option is Doodle. Try them and let me know which one do you prefer.
These tools have made my life easier in the past year. I hope as you try them you can also get the benefits I have seen in them. It is worth it!!
